Dear students,
this week students of Year 3 started with Malá Maturita in English language under the guidance of our Canadian lector Maria Sobotková.
The goal of Malá Maturita is to provide our Year 3 students with space to develop their speaking skills, confident self-expression, and critical thinking in English. Students have the opportunity to present their opinions and respond to a wide range of topics and questions, naturally expanding their vocabulary and improving the fluency of their speech.
This style of conversation in English also realistically simulates real-life situations that students may encounter during their leaving-school exams, university entrance interviews, as well as while traveling and studying abroad. Therefore, Malá Maturita represents not only linguistic but also personal development.
Students learn to respond quickly to unexpected questions, argue their points, justify their opinions, and clearly formulate their thoughts. Malá Maturita teaches students to keep stress out of their mind and practically use their language skills :)
We are keeping our fingers crossed for them! ?
